Contiki and general travel FAQ - Seattle.

Q: In Seattle, are there any walking tours available?
A: Yes there generally are. Some are with hostels, others start from down town or up near the space needle.

Q: In Seattle is riding the monorail worth it?
A: The monorail only has two stops, the beginning and the end, that is it. But it does cover lots of ground, so if you are short of time or carrying luggage, then it is worth it, otherwise walk.

Q: In Seattle is the pike place market worth a visit?
A: Yes it is worth a visit, it is a bit touristy but it is fun. Just walk around explore and who knows what you can find. Also some good picture opportunities.

Q: In Seattle, where is the space needle in the seattle centre?
A: The seattle centre is the location of the space needle. The needle itself is essentially in the middle of the centre, with the museums and shops surrounding the space needle.

Contiki and general travelFAQ - Toronto.

Q: In Toronto, where can i do my laundry?
A: If you stay with contiki, the hotel will not do it. However walk up through dundas square and then turn right at the main road, walk about 10 minutes and there is a cheap laundry place that will do you laundry for you.

Q: In Toronto, what are some things i can do at night with contiki?
A: There is lots of things to do from pub crawls to school bus pub crawl optional. You can walk around or you can hit a game – baseball, ice hockey or something like that. You can walk around dundas square or you can relax in your room.

Q: How much of Toronto do you see on the contiki bus tour?
A: Not much, the university, main street, main square and some of the parks. You go past the museum and you can see the cn tower.

Q: What are some things to do in Toronto?
A: In Toronto you can go up the CN tower, visit a brewery, see a museum or two, go shopping, head out to Niagra falls, explore the city in general. Walk through the parks or catch a game depending on the time of year.

Q: What is the easiest way to get around Montreal?
A: There is a train station next to the hotel, the train goes to the places that you want to see, so pick up a day pass and ride around.

Q: In Montreal, how far is the closest station to the hotel?
A: The station is about a 40 metre walk from the hotel and is located on a side line, meaning that you ride it to a junction to change lines.

Q: What is the breakfast like in Montreal with contiki?
A: There is no breakfast with contiki in Montreal. If you want any, there is a supermarket next to the station, also a maccas.

Q: In Copenhagen, what is the best way to get from the airport to the city?
A: At Copenhagen airport there is a train station. The train goes from here straight to the city in less then 20 minutes. It is also cheap.

Q: In Copenhagen, what is the best way to get around?
A: You can walk, catch the train or ride a bike. The city does have busses, but it is just as easy to walk or ride.

Q: In Copenhagen is there lots of bikes?
A: There are lots of bikes in this city, from people riding them to parking them, it is how most people get around. Keep out of the bike traffic and you will survive.

Q: In Copenhagen is going on a walking tour worth the time and money?
A: Yes it is worth it, because you get to walk to some interesting places as well as hear history, of the city and of the country. It is also a fun way to explore a city.

Q: In Copenhagen, is the little mermaid statue hard to find?
A: You reach a point and just follow the signs and the people. It is easy to find from a distance as there is lots of people around, but you won't see it until up close as it is very small. See a replica in the airport.

Q: In Copenhagen can you do a tour of the carlsburg brewery?
A: Yes you can, it is also easy to get to using public transport or on bike.

Q: What is the best way to get around Helsinki?
A: There are trams that go everywhere and they are cheap and are frequent. It is also easy to walk around most parts of the city. Or you can ride a bike.

Q: Is Helsinki expensive?
A: Compared with some of the Baltic countries, the city is expensive, compared with Norway and Sweden, it is cheap. It is about on par with Paris. You can still get cheap things no problem.

Contiki FAQ - Birmingham

Q: How long does it take to get from Manchester to Birmingham by train?
A: The trip is about 1hr, no more then 90 minutes.

Q: In Birmingham, what is the bull ring area.
A: This is a shopping centre and outdoor mall area. Lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. Also has a statue of a big bull.

Q: Is Birmingham a good city for museums?
A: It is not known for its museums, however it does have the think tank museum, the pen room and the jewellery museum. These are ok to visit.
