A: At the Hancock tower you can go up to the observatory floor, but you have to pay money to do so. The other way is to head to the bar – 1 floor below. The drinks are a good price and you have essentially the same view. So have a cocktail and enjoy the view.

Q: What is there to do in Chicago at night?

A: There are two tall buildings in the city. You can see if you can get up to the top and see the views of the city at night. There are also pub crawls and bars that you can do and explore. There is just exploring the central city at night.

Q: What is Chicago pizza like?

A: Traditional Chicago pizza is deep dish, kind of like eating a pie. You really need a fork to eat it. It is very good and tasty, but it does fill you up.

Q: What is the best way to get around Chicago?

A: The city has the famous above ground train system, known in many movies, it is fun to ride that or just walk around. It also has a good bus network.

Q: In Chicago if it is cloudy, is it still worth it to go up the tall buildings?

A: You can go up and hope that the cloud will clear or you can see white. Or move onto something else and come back later.

Q: In Chicago, when do you get to meet the new people that will join your group?

A: You meet any new people that will join your group on the day that you are leaving Chicago, on the way to Madison. Generally you will meet them at breakfast, however it may only be up to 6 people that join.

Q: On the Contiki Grand southern what is the Lodge like at the grand canyon.

A: The lodge is where you stay. It is in the park itself. It is kind of set out like a motel. There is a bit of a walk to the shop, restaurant, cafe and bus stop. However it is a nice walk to get there. Essentially it is just your group staying around the area.

Q: Do you get to do many walks in the grand canyon during the grand southern?

A: There is no planned group walk. You are free to do what ever walk you want to do. There is a full free day here. Yes there are a number of optionals on that day, but if you were up to it, then it is easy to do a walk. There are busses going around the park, they are free and go in a loop. Find a bus and get off at a point where you want to do a walk.

Q: In Kanab near the Grand canyon, how long does it take to get there?

A: To get to the grand canyon takes about 1hr, 45 mins, but you cross over a state border that looses time, so although you left kanab at 8am, by the time you get there it is about 8.45am.

Q: At the grand canyon is the north rim any different to the south rim?

A: Only the views are different as well as the various walks. However the south rim gets more tourists, so it is crowded, but there is slightly more things to do.

Q: In the grand canyon with contiki, do i have time to walk into the canyon itself?

A: No, to walk to the bottom and back would take longer then you have, best to do part of the track and come back up.

Q: At the grand canyon north, what is the restaurant like?

A: The restaurant has a variety of meals from burgers to pasta. The food is tasty and fairly cheap. It also has good views of the canyon. It is also not that crowded.
