Q: How much free time at the accommodations.
A: Depends on the tour and where you stay. It also depends on if you go out at night. But for a 2 night stay is usually arrive at the accommodation, time to unpack and sort and rest and then go out for dinner and night life, come back sleep and get up the next morning and go into the city. In the afternoon a bit of time may be spent back at the accommodation. There may be a pool, or you may do laundry.

Q: How would i go about booking a hotel or hostel in a city before or after a trip by myself?
A: In booking any accommodation, you need to work out where you want to stay, do you want to stay near transport, or night life or at the center of the city or close to friends. Once you determine that then have a look at various hotel or hostel booking websites, look at a number of places, make a list, then once that is done, determine what you want in a hostel or hotel, for example breakfast, free wifi, laundry or a bar. Any place that does not fit that, get rid of it. Then have a look at reviews on trip advisor or booking.com and then remove any place that is not got a high rating. Finally look at each places website or then general area around as well as prices. This should give you three places and then choose from that.
