Q: In Venice
is it easy to get lost?
A:
Start off in St marks square and just go for a wander, soon you will
be in random streets. When you want to head back just look up for the
bell tower – that is st marks square. It is easy to get lost, but
not so easy to stay lost.
Q: In Venice
how can i get into St marks church without waiting in line?
A:
This is a bit sneaky but it is all good. All you need is a backpack,
just a general day bag. Bags are not allowed in the church, so you
need to drop it off at a luggage storage place, they will give you a
ticket, you then use the ticket to get into the church. It is good
because you can skip the line, see what you want and leave. The
church itself is free but there are a few small museums that need
paying for inside.
Q: In Venice,
where is the best place to get food without being ripped off?
A:
Go to St marks square and then head away from it. Go a few streets
over and you should be able to find cheap food that is still good.
Eating in St marks square is expensive.
Q: How long
does it take to get from fusina campsite into the city if venice by
boat?
A: Depending on
water traffic, it should take about 45 minutes.
Q: In Venice
is the glass blowing demo worth it?
A:
You get to see something interesting and then you head to the show
room (shop) where you can purchase Venetian glass. If that is for you,
then sure, go enjoy it.
Q:
In Venice, are there lots of bugs and mosquitoes at the contiki camp,
what to do about them?
A:
There are lots of bugs and mosquitoes at the camp that contiki uses,
but it is the same for all around Venice as the city was built in a
swamp. The camp shop sells bug spray that works well, or bring your
own. They don't bother too much when it is windy or when you are very
drunk.
